Draft 2008 Form 990 Instructions to Be Released in April

In a recent teleconference sponsored by the American Bar Association, Ronald Schultz, Senior Technical Advisor to the IRS Commissioner, TE/GE, said that the IRS will release in April 2008 the Instructions to the new 2008 Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax. The Instructions are expected to be released in draft form for public comment. Schultz said that the comment period will be 30 or 45 days.
